November 13th, 2021 I had the honor and joy to participate in the MacLaren Art Centre Still Life Smack Down. We arrived on the morning and the beautiful Gallery which was already set up with two whimsical displays of bones, and helmets and robes and a turkey.
We as artist were instructed to find an angle or subject mater that pleased us and we had the next three hours to create something new, something in front of our eyes and from inside our minds, and so it all came together. Four works were produced, a nd auctioned off.
I absolutely love where we have outlet in such wonder places to be creative and have the community take part in the process. I do hope this is one of many such days that I could be a part of.
