I have been recently engaged at MacLaren Art Centre in Barrie to instruct the fall semester of From Life Figure drawing and painting course. I wanted to offer the participants a chance to see a bit differently. We went though looking at the figure is a way of simple geometry, to looking at dark and light patterns. My goal was to give all the participants simple steps that they can imply to any drawing.
I also wanted to show how watercolor could be used in a simple and enjoyable way to create value and atmosphere.
It was so amazing to see the progress and the gratitude for the simplicity with which the figure could be approached.
