I was one of two artists participating in the Art Slam, a live art event that added an engaging element to the gala. Having people watch me work brought back memories of pre-COVID studio days and reminded me of the joy of creating in a social setting. It also inspired me to set a goal of hosting more art-focused gatherings this year. Selling my work at the auction was an added bonus, knowing it contributed to such a meaningful cause.
